Retro

I played dress up today with Addison and Collin. Don't tell Collin but these were my clothes when I was a baby. I wanted to take a picture of them before they outgrew the clothes. Thank goodness for Collin they are netural clothes because of course back then there was no such thing as finding out the sex of your baby. Bryce is a little too big for the outfits so he lucked out and didn't have to play dress up. And yes that is a big boo-boo on Addison's head. With low platelets it doesn't take much for her to bruise and Sunday she did a header into Alan's coffee table. If she keeps this up Steven is threatening to put her in a helmet.

Nap Time!

I'm probably a terrible mother for torturing my babies to get this video but I thought everyone would get a kick out of what it is like around our house with three tired babies! It cracks me up how they've learned to throw their heads down to add drama to their little tantrums.

They have also started crying when they hear someone else cry. Just watching this video on my computer made Addison start to cry again.

What a mess!

Bryce is definitely our messiest eater! All three babies like to feed themselves now so we feed them a lot of finger foods (peaches, green beans, carrots, avacado's, pears, etc.) By the time Bryce gets finished eating he usually needs a bath. He will rub his messy hands in his hair, ears, and eyes. Not only do I have to wash him off but we also have to hose down the high chair, tray and floor around him!

Science Night

Last night Steven's school had their Science Night, complete with a hot air balloon, bee's, hermit crabs, science projects and ice cream. I rushed and loaded up our crew last minute when I realized I would have help from my sister and parents. We had a good time and the babies were worn out by the time we got home.

The babies were not fans of the hot air balloon. It made a loud noise when they blew the air into it. The babies would jump and start screaming every time they heard it. You can tell Bryce is not happy in the picture and Addison and Collin have a tight grip on me.
Collin helped Steven clean up afterwards and got a ride on top of the boxes

Splish Splash!!!

We spent Sunday afternoon in Grandpa's pool, it was a nice, refreshing way to end a hot weekend. This was the first time the babies have been in a "big" pool. Addison started crying at first because she wasn't sure what to think, she later got brave and would dip her face in the water. Bryce loved it and layed back in his float just relaxing. Collin wasn't sure of his float at first but enjoyed it when he realized he could splash and play.

Addison's TCH Visit

Yesterday we had another visit to Texas Children's Hospital for Addison's platelet counts. Her platelet counts were about the same at 57, which is still low. The doctors are happy that she has stayed healthy and not had any problems with bleeding so we will continue to do blood work once a month and put off the bone marrow biopsy another couple of months. This month they are doing test to check her XY chromosomes, these test could take 1-2 months to get results so we will not go back to TCH until July. Although Dr. Lakshmi does not have a diagnosis yet she is leaning towards ITP but she still feels Addison is kind of young for this so she wants to eliminate every other possibility first. We hate that our baby girl has to be stuck with a needle so much but we feel Dr. Lakshmi and the doctors at TCH will eventually find the problem to Addison's low platelets. It is always a long and crazy day to go to the medical center in Houston but we get to spend the day just with Addison and she loves getting all of mommy and daddy's attention!
A happy girl for an hour wait in the lobby!
Addison waiting with her daddy like a big girl
She always turns to look at her arm or the nurses to see what they are doing to her. It is so sad and makes everyone in the room tear up.
Maybe she's getting used to all the blood work, by the third vial of blood she had this calm, dazed look on her face and quit crying. It kind of worried us but she was back to normal after it was all done.

Addison we are so proud of you for being such a brave little girl!

11 Months Old

I'm a little behind on making post so I apologize now for the length of this post, I will try to add more pictures to make it a little less painful!

This last weekend was a busy one, the babies turned 11 months old, we went to two maifest parades and celebrated mother's day. At 11 months old they are beginning to eat more table food, they love to splash in their baby pool and follow each other like three little ducklings. If one takes off into another room or heads to another toy the other two are sure to follow. The babies will always have a special bond being triplets but I didn't realize how that bond would already begin to form. Anytime one is awake and they hear another baby crying in the bedroom they will crawl to the door and sit there until I go and get the one crying. They also love to copy each other, if one starts blowing bubbles, babbles dadadada, or makes clicking noises the others follow along. Addison and Bryce are ususally the leaders when it comes to making noises or blowing bubbles but Collin is usually the leader when they crawl off to another room.
Last weekend we went to the Maifest Parades. On Friday Collin started screaming at the first sounds of the fire trucks, while Bryce just sat in my lap and took it all in. At Saturday's parade Bryce decided he wasn't a fan of the fire trucks and started screaming. Addison wasn't as upset as the boys but she had her momments that she didn't care for all the noise either.
Our cute niece and nephews after the coronation

On Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day with three fussy babies. We thought things would get better after a nap but as we packed everyone up to go out to eat for lunch all three babies were hanging on the baby gate crying for us, as Steven tried to step over the baby gate all three babies came tumbling down with the gate on top of them and then Steven lost his balance and fell on top of the gate and the babies. Needless to say there was a lot of crying. We survived the day and even though we had fussy children most of the day Steven didn't make me change one diaper!!! Too bad that doesn't happen more often.

Happy Mother's Day

There were times in my life that I thought I was never going to be able to call myself a mother but in October 2008 my prayers were answered in more ways than I could imagine! Now that I am a mother I know it is better than I ever could have imagined and I have an unconditional love for our three babies that is unexplainable. This last year has gone by so fast but I think about how much we've watched the babies grow and change. It just makes my day to hear their laughs, listening to them "talk", sit with me when they are tired or trying to wake up, or to see them smile. Although somedays I feel like I have the hardest job in the world I feel so fortunate that I'm able to be at home with our babies every day. I hope that my mother and all the mother's out there have a wonderful mothers day. I also pray that God answers the prayers of others wanting to become mothers and that their dreams come true one day too!
Addison, Bryce and Collin you make life worth living and you will never know how much I love you!

Look what I can do

Just when we thought we had the house child proofed pretty good we find this....
Addison climbed up in the rocking chair, stood up and was beating on the wall. We didn't think they could get up in this chair by themselves yet but Addison obviously proved us wrong so the rocking chair is now put away! I have a feeling Addison is going to be our little daredevil so we will have a workout making sure she stays out of trouble! With Addison's low platelets the doctor may freak out if she knew we let this happen but atleast we caught her before any major falls.
