Crazy Sunday

Our Sunday was going to be a little more eventful than normal because I planned to take pictures and I knew that would be a lot for the babies to handle. Well little did I realize our day turned out to be pretty tiring for Steven and I too. The day started out like normal with an early morning feeding. After that I decided to do a "quick" load of laundry to wash the babies swaddle blankets before we took pictures. Well "quick" turned into the washer over flowing, flooding our garage, bathroom and part of our closet. So instead of preparing for pictures we were mopping up water! Good news is our washer is not broke (although I'm afraid its on its last leg). We were still able to take pictures which proved to be very tiring for the babies and us. We had some wonderful help from Christie and Debbie who where very patient with our trio! I haven't had time to go through the pictures yet but I hope to post pictures soon.

Play date and Cousins

Today we had a play date with Jake and Jessica. The babies ate and slept and even gave Jessica and I time to eat. I'm not sure how much fun the babies had but the mommies had a great time.

Last week my sister brought her kids over to play with the babies. This was the first time that they really got to hold the babies and the first chance we had to take a picture of everyone together.

Jinx

I knew I would jinx myself by posting that the babies slept 6-7 hours so I'm hoping this post will un-jinx (not sure if that is a word) us. The past 2 nights the babies have been back to waking up ever 3-4 hours wanting to eat. Of course it would happen the night that Steven comes down with the stomach virus. After an exhausting night Monday I recruited some help from Aunt Dorothy, my Mom, and Steven's Dad. Steven felt pretty bad for putting the load on me but we needed to keep him away from the babies. Next week I have to have a LEEP procedure done to remove some abnormal cells so I have a feeling he will get a chance to repay me! For now we are just praying that the the babies and I do not get the stomach virus and that we go back to sleeping longer hours.

I've been waiting to make a post because I didn't want to jinx things but the past three nights the babies have slept 6-7 hours. The extra sleep has been wonderful for Steven and I, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we continue to be so lucky. This weekend has been very busy so that may have helped with the new sleeping pattern. Our busy weekend started Friday with a doctors appointment Friday morning. Dr. Draehn was very impressed with how healthy the babies are and they have all gained so much weight. Bryce is now 10 lbs., Addison is 9 lbs. 2 oz., and Collin is 8 lbs. 4 oz. After our doctors appointment we went to Steven's school to introduce the babies to some of the teachers and that night we went to Shelby's graduation party (WHOOP!). Congrats Shelby and Andy on your graduation and engagement we are so happy for you! Saturday we had a birthday party for Austin and Avery Maurer, we showed up early because I miss read the invitation and didn't leave until the babies started to get a little fussy. Happy Birthday A&A we can't wait for our little ones to turn 3 and be able to run and play with you!

Each baby recieved 3 shots and had to drink 1 medication. Below are the pictures I took right after they recieved their shots. Everyone did pretty good and only cried for a few mintues.

2 months old

Can you believe our babies are 2 months old today??? They are all doing so good and thank goodness everyone (including parents) have had good nights since our last all nighter. The other day I weighed the babies and we cannot believe how much they have grown. Bryce weighed 9 lbs., Addison weighed 8 1/2 lbs. and Collin weighed 8 lbs. This may not be the most accurate weights because I held them and weighed both myself and them so I could be off give or take a little. Friday they have their two month check up and shots so we will see how much they weigh then.

Nights with triplets

Most nights are pretty simple, we feed the babies, burp and change them and put them back to sleep. One or two of them may fight going to sleep but eventually go to sleep. One of them may have a bad night of crying but we have come to cherish the nights that only one baby is fussy. Then about one or two nights a week are like last night. Collin wakes up crying, we get him calmed down and Bryce starts crying. Bryce calms down and Collin starts up again, then Addison, then Collin, then Bryce, you get the idea! There was a lot of passing babies back and forth between Steven and I and I lost count on how many times we got up to rock someone or put in a pacifier or do what ever we needed to get them back asleep. It makes for a very exhausting night for mommy and daddy.

After a long exhausting night this smile makes it all worth it.

family and friends shower

Due to my bed rest this shower was postponed a few times but it was well worth the wait. The hostesses did a great job and it was good to see people I haven't seen in a long time.

There was a lot of food and it was good!

Lindsey decorated the cake.

Everyone was so excited to meet the babies.

Mom and Dad of course had to get them their first aggie outfits. Here they are in the caps.
