The Houston Zoo

This week we have all been at home for spring break. The weather has been wonderful and we have spent a lot of time outside working on projects in the yard, the kids have played outside daily, and even went to the park for a little play time. Wednesday we joined thousands of other people and took the kids to the Houston Zoo. The kids loved seeing so many animals and we enjoyed watching their excitement!
We saw the elephant get a bath
Collin was excited about the giraffes and practically ran from one exhibit to the next saying "let's go see the giraffes!"

We saw turtles
and more reptiles than I would have liked!

Cowboys and Cowgirl

Our cowboys and cowgirl were so excited for their rodeo today!
A sweet picture of Addison and Collin
Cowboy Collin
Everyday this week Collin would wake up and ask "Is today our rodeo?" This morning we told him "today is the rodeo and you get to wear your boots" and he grinned from ear to ear yelling with excitement. Such a big day for a little Frisky Frog!
Handsome Bryce
He had so much fun during the rodeo and really enjoyed the stick horse races despite a minor fall. He picked himself right up, kept smiling and continued to ride his horse to the finish line!
Pretty Addison
She said her favorite was the wagon races!

I love to see Bryce so happy!

Stick Horse Races

Addison looked cute and stayed on course until the finish!

Collin rode his horse a little off course to make sure his "fans"(Mommy, Daddy, Granny, PawPaw, Grandpa and Myrna) saw him!

Bryce had fun and was all smiles even after an entertaining fall.

Frisky Frog News

Collin said, "I help my Mom and Dad dig and pull some leaves out and I went to the garage sale!"

Addison said, "I play in my playroom with Mommy and Daddy and Tegan!"

Bryce said, "We get to go to Grandpa's after school, and Grandpa has a big tent!"

We have been enjoying the weather outside during this time of year. Collin and Bryce are always excited to help Daddy with the yard work. We also attended the HGTV Junk Gypsy Garage Sale that Collin referred too, we didn't make any "big" purchases so we won't be TV celebrates but you may see us in the background when the show airs.

Family Literacy Night at BES

I bravely took 6 kids to family literacy night at Steven's school. The moment we walked in the door the kids (mainly Collin and Addison) started screaming because they saw Clifford the Big Red Dog. Collin and Addison began clinging to me and holding me tight in fright of the Big Red Dog. I tried to explain that it was just Daddy and began to walk closer. It didn't calm anyone's fears! Eventually they understood that it was Daddy but weren't really happy about it. I did get a few pictures with the Big Red Dog but you can see by the pictures that the kids weren't too sure about it.

Sad Note

Last Thursday Bryce came home with a "sad" note. Apparently he and several others from his class were not listening, following directions, or being nice to their friends during gross motor. His teacher sent home the following note and the next day they wrote a letter of apology to Mrs. Amy (their gross motor teacher).

The four hand prints at the top with the smiley faces were the only ones that didn't get in trouble! Collin and Addison both had smiley faces :)
