First Edition of the Frisky Frog News 2013

Last week we recieved the First Edition of the Frisky Frog News. The teacher writes a comment from each student and sends it home for the parents. We will recieve this weekly from now until the end of school so stay tuned for more news!

Family Literacy Night at BES

I bravely took 6 kids to family literacy night at Steven's school. The moment we walked in the door the kids (mainly Collin and Addison) started screaming because they saw Clifford the Big Red Dog. Collin and Addison began clinging to me and holding me tight in fright of the Big Red Dog. I tried to explain that it was just Daddy and began to walk closer. It didn't calm anyone's fears! Eventually they understood that it was Daddy but weren't really happy about it. I did get a few pictures with the Big Red Dog but you can see by the pictures that the kids weren't too sure about it.

Sad Note

Last Thursday Bryce came home with a "sad" note. Apparently he and several others from his class were not listening, following directions, or being nice to their friends during gross motor. His teacher sent home the following note and the next day they wrote a letter of apology to Mrs. Amy (their gross motor teacher). 

The four hand prints at the top with the smiley faces were the only ones that didn't get in trouble! Collin and Addison both had smiley faces :)

Happy Valentine's Day

I know it's almost March but we hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Bryce, Collin and Addison were excitied to hand out their valentines.

Collin gave his friends Goldfish that said "You O'Fish'ally have my heart"

Bryce gave his friends bubbles that said "You blow me away!"

Addison gave her friends Oreo cookies and a silly straw with a note that said

"Valentine we go together like cookies and milk"

New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve we spent the evening with the Maurer's and Rau's. We normally have an annual Maurer/Rau/Siemsglusz Christmas but our schedules were so crazy we decided to gather for a New Year's Eve party instead. We had big plans for a fireworks show but the weather didn't agree with our plans, no worries we made the best of it and had a pretty intense game of pictionary! The kids played well together and were pretty excited to ring in 2013!

Our night was cut a little short because of this!

Since our new year started we have been dealing with how to control this. I have made several phone calls, doctors appointments, and we now have several medications to hopefully control it!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning started a little quiet with Collin coming straight to our room not even noticing the loot that Santa had delivered! He eventually got up to go to the restroom and that's when his eye caught a glimpse of the tree and presents. He started screaming Santa came, Addison, Bryce come look, Santa brought us presents. Before you knew it, it was a house full of paper, toys, and three very excited little kids!

Santa did not disappoint Christmas morning and spoiled the kids with lots of presents under the tree! 

Addison asked Santa for a necklace, a heart and a bracelet and Christmas morning she was happy to open her heart necklace and bracelet. 

Bryce asked Santa for a guitar and Santa delivered just that. He has put on several concerts ever since.

Collin asked Santa for an Aggie Football helmet and Santa brought the helmet and the entire football uniform!

He was one very happy little boy!

He has rarely taken the uniform off since Christmas morning, he even sleeps in it. Thankfully we have kept him from wearing it to school or out in public!

Christmas Day

Christmas day was a busy day full of family, presents and food but we wouldn't have it any other way! After an exciting morning at our house we went to Grandpa Siemsglusz's for lunch, back home for a quick nap, then the Wilde family gathered at our house for more fun that evening.
