Our New Goddaughter

Sunday we were honored to be Godparents to this beautiful little girl, Shelby Kay! We introduced her parents (Mike & Becky) to each other about 6 years ago and they have since married and most recently had this precious baby girl. At their wedding Mike promised me they would name their first born child after me but that didn't happen so I guess being Godparent is the next best thing.

9 Months Old

I'm a little behind on this post but Addison, Bryce and Collin turned 9 months old Sunday/Monday. Its hard to believe I need to start thinking about their 1st birthday already! We had our 9 month check up Tuesday and everyone had a good report. We didn't need shots this time but they did draw blood, just a little finger prick so nothing too tramatic.

It is still very difficult to get them to hold still, look at the camera and smile for a pictures so we did the best we could!

Here are a few things Addison is doing now:

-crawling
-she loves to be held
-a momma's girl
-always worried about her brothers
-talks a lot (blah, blah, blah)(da, da, da)(ma, ma, ma)
-will crawl up on my leg, the couch, etc.

Addison's weight is 17.2lbs. (10%tile)

Addison's length is 26 inches (10%tile)

Here are a few things Bryce is doing now:
-sleeping more on his tummy
-he will stiffen up when you try to make him sit
-loves when I say "Mama" and smiles from ear to ear
-still has no teeth but it doesn't stop him from eating everything
-loves to jump in the entertainer (and it is loud)
-will talk a little (blah, blah, blah)

Bryce's weight is 20.10lbs. (40%tile)

Bryce's length is 27 1/2 inches (25%tile)

Here are a few things Collin is doing now:
-crawling everywhere and getting faster
-has 6 teeth (4 on top and 2 on the bottom)
-can stand in his crib now (thank goodness Steven lowered the beds a few weeks ago)
-he loves cords so we have had to do a little child proofing but he still seems to find them!
-he is pulling up on things
-talking a little (da, da, da)(ma, ma, ma)

Collin's weight is 16.12lbs (10%tile)

Collin's length is 26 inches (3%tile)

They have become more aware of each other and really enjoy playing together. They get very concerned about each other when someone is crying or laugh at each other when they are jabbering about something. Addison and Bryce's high chairs are next to each other and she is always leaning forward checking on him. They are all eating puff's, yogurt bites and have tried a few table foods (green beans, carrots, potatoes). Their favorite video is Calm Baby, this is the only way I can get something done! It really does calm them down and they are just fasinated with it (I would highly recommend to any new parent). They love bath time and have a good time splashing and getting Daddy wet!

The Weekend

This weekend was a busy one! Saturday we took pictures with a real easter bunny. Addison actually touched the bunny but didn't have a big reaction to it. I'm not sure the boys ever realized the bunny was sitting next to them. I snapped a picture with my camera but I know the photographer got a better picture so I'll share that when we get it.

I'm not sure we will ever get a picture that Collin doesn't have his fingers in his mouth.

After that we went by Granny & Papa's to show them our easter outfits.

Then we got a surprise visit from my grandparents (Grandma & Grandpa Schwartz). It was good to see them and we were glad they went out of their way to stop by and see us.

Circus Clowns

Today we went to Daddy's school for the kindergarten circus! Addison was such a good girl, she sat in her seat the whole time just watching the clowns, elephants, etc. Bryce just wanted someone to stand up with him but overall enjoyed the show. Collin started crying just as soon as he saw the clowns walk in! Later a few clowns came and talked to us and he was fine so we think the noise was part of the reason he was so upset.

Little helper

Yesterday I had a little helper, my niece Tegan! We picked her up from school and spent the afternoon playing with Addison, Bryce and Collin. I made the mistake of telling her we could bake cookies while the babies were napping so then all she want to do was put them in their beds for nap time. I finally gave in and put the babies down for a nap, we made our cookies and ate a few. When I wouldn't let her have another cookie she said it was time for the babies to wake up so she could play with them. Finally we heard someone awake and we got Collin out of bed but the first little whine or cry he had she thought he needed another nap. Needless to say she kept me on my toes but we had fun!

The babies just loved watching her. One of these days they will have a lot of fun running around together. Thank you Tegan for being such a big helper!

Our first carousel ride

Saturday we had a birthday party at the park, they had the carousel open for rides so the babies took their first carousel ride. Steven held Bryce and he just sat there not really upset or excited. I had Collin who never cried but had a worried look the whole time. Our friend Jamie attempted to put Addison on a horse but she wanted no part of it. I put her on a horse a little later and she was still pretty unsure about it but we got the picture! We eventually just rode on the bench!
